Akasaka

Akasaka is widely considered as the beating heart of international life in Tokyo, adjacent to the neighbourhoods of Aoyama and Roppongi. It offers a perfect blend of commercial and upscale residential areas. During the day, the district bustles with business activity as it hosts numerous office buildings and corporate headquarters. However, the scene dramatically changes at night as it transforms into a vibrant entertainment hub with a plethora of bars and restaurants open; famous for its gourmet Michelin-starred restaurants, it is not uncommon to find politicians and celebrities frequenting these establishments to indulge in high-end restaurant food.

Akasaka is home to several foreign embassies and international organizations, including the Embassy of the United States and the United Nations University. The area also boasts of a quiet, high-class residential area known as Hikawacho. This area features many low-rise apartments with large western-style units and abundant greenery. With its rich history centered around the Hikawa Shrine, Akasaka is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after areas to live in.
